The Formel 1 in der Schule gGmbH is a non-profit organisation with its headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany. It is responsible for the execution of the international technology challenge ‘Formula 1 in Schools’ in Germany and with the help of sponsors they organise the Regional Competitions and the National Finals.
To reach the German Finals, the team have to pass the Regional Competition first. Depending on the number of participants the best team or the best three teams can participate in the German Finals. Both Regional Competitions and German Finals are usually organised in schools, universities or museums. The Regional Competition South-East we attended took place at the Graf-Rasso-Gymnasium in Fürstenfeldbruck. The German Finals will be held at the Mercedes Benz Museum in Stuttgart.
